I completely forgot to finish my government outline that is due tomorrow. The biggest problem is, once I remembered about it, I realized that my government textbook is still in my locker. So, unless I can somehow beg and plead to my teacher to give me an extension until Monday, I'm pretty screwed. There goes fifty points out the window. Lovely.

I've got a weekend open entirely to myself. How should I spend it? I've been meaning to visit the library for some new reading material. Any good suggestions out there?

I'd been in a bit of a writer's block over the course of the last week or so, and everyone has been bugging me for updates on my novel. I've been feeling yucky because I hadn't written anything after powering out roughly 2,000 words a day.

Luckily, however, I managed to push through it. I just sat down and forced myself to continue where I had left off, which was a wonderful, refreshing feeling. I've written about 10 handwritten pages over the last two days (which translates into about 4,000-something words), and although I've yet to actually type it all up, I'm feeling good.

Anyway, in more recent news, the boyfriend is taking a trip off to England for two and a half months in June. I am absolutely, completely jealous! I've only been out of the state once, and I've never been out of the country. And there is nothing I want to do more than go to Scotland. Heck, I'd live there without even visiting first.

But anyhoo, he's excited, and I'm happy for him. It's going to be weird with him gone, but hey, life goes on! And I've got all of our/my friends to keep us company.

Off to watch Shrek 2 with my little niece, yessir.
